An Interdisciplinary Study Based on Affinity Measurement between Different Research Fields of Academic Journals:the Case of Journals Included in the Chinese Science and Technology Journals Database
Through academic journals,discover the affinity between different research fields in the scientific research system,explore the correlation between research fields,and identify interdisciplinary research hotspots and trends.Taking the 35 research fields divided by the Chinese Science and Technology Journals Database of Weipu Information Chinese Journals Service Platform as the research objects,this paper adopts the interdisciplinary measurement concept of the affini-ty between fields,and quantitatively analyzes the interdisciplinary relationship between academic journals by calculating the affinity between fields and constructing affinity matrix and affinity network,and exploring its interdisciplinarity.The differences in affinity values between various research fields are statistically significant,and the research field of high affin-ity is more likely to form a trend of cross-integration with other fields.The number and scale of journals in each research field are significantly positively correlated with the interdisciplinary behavior and affinity between fields(ρ1=0.561,ρ2=0.628,P＜0.01).The modular community division effect of the selected scientific research system in this study is better,and the aggregation effect between fields is better(Q=0.423).Through the affinity between research fields,the correla-tions between various research fields and the development trends of scientific research can be clarified,and the interdisci-plinary measurement index system and interdisciplinary measurement ability can be further improved,which is helpful to test the effectiveness of interdisciplinary research and formulate interdisciplinary research strategies.
