New Liberal Arts brings new opportunities and challenges to college English teaching,so innovative teaching of college English should present new ideas.The innovative teaching of college English integrated with journalism and communication conforms to the development trend of the times and technology,implements the re-quirements of moral education,and pays attention to the comprehensive development of students'language abil-ity and humanistic quality.This paper mainly discusses the teaching practice of integrating journalism and com-munication into college English from the aspects of teaching objectives,teaching contents,teaching procedures,teaching highlights and teaching effects,explores how to organically integrate the relevant theories and methods of journalism and communication into the teaching process of college English,truly meeting the needs of contempo-rary college students in English learning and improving students'media literacy,cross-cultural communication skills,and humanistic qualities.
