Abstract
This paper explores the application and impact of the Materials Project database in the teaching of Computational Materials Science in the context of artificial intelligence.The Materials Project database is an open-access materials library that integrates AI and big data technologies,providing students with a vast amount of crystal structure and physical property data for materials.Its introduction has enriched the content of teaching and enabled students to acquire and analyze data through hands-on operation,gaining a deep understanding of the relationship between microscopic structure and physical properties.This emerging teaching mode not only en-hances students'research capabilities and innovative thinking,but also helps cultivate compound talents with computational materials professional knowledge and interdisciplinary skills.Overall,in the era of artificial intelli-gence,the introduction of big data has brought new vitality to Computational Materials Science and had a positive impact on future education reform and practice.
