Strengthening the ideological and political education function of professional courses plays an impor-tant role in implementing the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education.Engineering courses cannot be separated from the application and assistance of engineering cases.It is of great significance to conduct re-search on ideological and political construction using engineering cases as carriers.Taking the course of Engineer-ing Cost Management as an example,by analyzing relevant cases of cost management in project decision-making stage,project design stage,and project construction stage,the ideological and political entry points and elements of the case study are summarized,and a design for ideological and political teaching is proposed.While conduct-ing professional education,the ideological and political goals and value shaping of the course are achieved,and a nourishing and silent educational effect is achieved.
