The prefecture-level hospital is the most important medical institution in a region and the main battle-field for standardized training of residents.Although the training system for residents has been implemented for ten years and has achieved ideal results in China,at the same time,various problems arising from the develop-ment of the times and society have also come one after another,and some new concepts,models and methods are urgently needed to be applied.Based on this,this paper focuses on the application of the hierarchical and progres-sive model,aiming to break the bottleneck in the existing training system for residents and achieve a comprehen-sive improvement in the quality of resident training in prefecture-level hospitals.
