The Network and Resource Dynamics of Peer Education from the Perspective of Social Capital Theory:Taking Student Associations of Zhejiang University as an Example
Taking student associations of Zhejiang University as an example,this study explores the impact of the three dimensions of social capital(structural,relational,and cognitive)on the effectiveness of peer education from the perspective of social capital theory.The study found that the structural and cognitive dimensions of social capi-tal have a significant positive impact on the effectiveness of peer education in associations,while the impact of re-lational social capital is not significant.Structural social capital facilitates the flow of resources and information through network relationships,and cognitive social capital builds deep understanding and goal consistency through shared values and goals.Based on these findings,the study recommends that colleges and universities should strengthen the comprehensive training of core members of associations,build more structured network rela-tionships,and enhance the diversity and resource support of association activities.These recommendations aim to deepen the accumulation and application of social capital to improve the effectiveness of peer education.The re-search provides a new perspective and empirical basis for understanding and optimizing the role of associations in peer education in China's colleges and universities.
