As higher education enters the stage of popularization,the necessity and advantages of carrying out tar-geted ideological and political education based on students'academic portraits are highlighted.This paper de-signs the labels of students'academic portraits from the five aspects of learning attitude,behavioral regularity,learning diligence,environmental factors,and physical and mental state,and proposes the selection of algorithms for students'academic portraits in different ideological and political scenarios,so that educators can accurately capture the characteristics of individual students,grasp students'learning dynamics in a timely manner,and pre-dict students'academic trends,so as to accurately grasp students'individual needs,accurately grasp the opportu-nity of educating people,and timely carry out academic warnings and targeted academic assistance.Carrying out targeted ideological and political education based on students'academic portraits also requires a rational view of data to prevent technology dependence and scientific use of data to improve the capabilities of targeted ideological and political education.
