Analyzing and summarizing the current status of research on ideological and political education in envi-ronmental engineering courses can provide a theoretical basis for the reform of relevant professional course educa-tion in the context of the new era of ecological civilization construction.In this study,the keywords of"environ-mental engineering/environmental engineering specialty"and"ideology and politics/ideology and politics in spe-cialized courses"were used as search terms,and 274 Chinese articles with high relevance in the last 10 years were screened out by bibliometric method from China Knowledge Network(CNKI).CiteSpace software was then applied for visual analysis of the publication time,keywords,main authors,research institutions,document titles,and other aspects of the selected literature.The results indicate that the ideological and political education in en-vironmental engineering courses aims to cultivate high-quality professionals contributing to the development of ecological civilization in the new era and the advancement of the environmental profession.The measures of ideo-logical and political education reform in the major mainly focus on three aspects:adjusting course settings,inno-vating course teaching,and cultivating talents.
