Centered around the concept of new engineering,the teaching content of Python Programming Design should not be limited to knowledge transfer and skill development,but should also focus on value shaping to meet the demand for inter-disciplinary talents.This paper comprehensively considers the educational development trends and needs of engineering majors,deeply and fully explores the ideological and political elements in the course,starting from the"Talent Training Plan for Port,Waterway and Coastal Engineering"and the actual situa-tion.By multi-angle approaches to ideological and political education teaching,establish an output oriented(OBE)Python programming teaching model to innovate application teaching carriers,and accelerate the construc-tion of ideological and political education in engineering courses.
