Based on the OBE concept,this paper discusses the construction and practice of the value-added evaluation system for public English courses.By analyzing the theoretical basis of the OBE concept and value-added evaluation,an evaluation system with the value-added of students'learning outcomes as the core is con-structed,and the practical application process,challenges and coping strategies of the system are elaborated in de-tail.The value-added evaluation system can effectively promote the improvement of teaching quality and stu-dents'learning effects,and provide new ideas and methods for the reform of public English teaching.
