Drawing inspiration from the ecosystem theory in modern ecology,a university public art education eco-system is constructed,which includes ecological subjects,ecological objects,ecological mediators,and ecological environment.Its characteristics mainly include integrity,correlation,openness,and dynamism.The ecological im-balance of the public art education ecosystem in universities from a modern ecological perspective is mainly due to the need to improve the teaching staff of ecological subjects,the diverse,complex,and evolving of concepts of ecological objects,the need to improve the educational effectiveness of ecological mediators,and the urgent need to integrate the fragmented ecological environment.Therefore,the path for the reconstruction of the public art edu-cation ecosystem in universities from the perspective of fostering virtue through education includes:ecological subjects should develop strong qualities and strengthening educational responsibilities;ecological objects should focus on fostering virtue and learn to follow good advice;the transmission efficiency of ecological mediators should be improved to ensure effective transmission;the campus,the family,and the society,as the ecological en-vironment,should have their own emphasis and form an organic whole.
