Amid the ongoing reforms in higher education,the ideological and political teaching reform of special-ized courses is a crucial strategy for implementing the fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education.This is particularly relevant in medical universities,where educational reform emphasizes the cultivation of politi-cal awareness and professional ethics alongside healthcare training.Drawing on the distinctive characteristics of nursing education,this study investigates the advancement of ideological and political teaching reform in nursing programs by building a systematic framework for ideological and political education,diversifying teaching ap-proaches,enriching the teaching resource repository,and developing a comprehensive moral education evaluation system.Building on literature analysis and case studies,the paper highlights the distinctive role of ideological and political education in nursing education,emphasizing the pivotal role of teachers in guiding its implementation.The findings show that this reform approach effectively integrates knowledge transfer,skill development,and core socialist values,thereby offering strong support for cultivating high-caliber nursing professionals with both robust political awareness and excellent technical skills.
