The effect of fear of negative evaluation on the willingness of higher vocational college students to express in English class:Self-esteem as the mediator variable
A questionnaire survey was conducted among 272 students from three higher vocational colleges in Changsha,Hu'nan Province,and the results were analyzed to explore the relationship between fear of negative evaluation,self-esteem and willingness to express in English class.The findings are:(1)Fear of negative evalua-tion negatively affects self-esteem and willingness to express in class.(2)Self-esteem positively influences will-ingness to express in class.(3)Self-esteem mediates fear of negative evaluation and willingness to express in class.
