Design of project-based learning unit teaching for senior high school chemistry based on ideas construction:Taking the"ionic reaction in effervescent tablets"as an example
This study investigates the phenomenon of effervescent tablets dissolving in water, extracting the proj⁃ ect,sub-projects,and learning tasks corresponding to driving questions. It organizes a project-based learning unit around two core ideas:" particle nature of matter" and" change and stability." The research approach in⁃ cludes the core task with the procedure of" hypothesis conjecture-evidence reasoning-experiment verificationmodel building," where the" microscopic model" aids students in smoothly transitioning from microscopic dia⁃ grams to symbolic representations. By embedding assessment within the teaching process, the unit has accom⁃ plished an integrated design of teaching, learning, and assessing. The approach lays the groundwork for students' advanced learning in elective compulsory phases by facilitating a deep understanding of ionization and ion reac⁃ tions, thereby solving problems in" thinking expansion" and accomplishing cognitive learning progression.
