英汉习语中的文化差异及其翻译
Cultural Differences between English and Chinese Idioms and Their Translation
摘要
不同语言的文化差异一直是跨文化交际的障碍之一。语言是文化的载体，习语是语言的精华，习语在体现语言的文化特征方面，比其他成分更具典型性。本文在理解英汉习语的特点和对应关系的基础上，从跨文化交际角度浅析英汉习语在生活环境、风俗习惯、宗教信仰、历史典故方面的文化差异；探讨三种针对形象处理的翻译英汉习语的有效方法。
