摘要
本文以美国著名翻译理论家尤金？奈达的功能对等翻译理论为指导，通过分析儿童日记体小说《小屁孩日记》的中译本，从“语意对等”，“风格对等”和“文化因素对等”等方面来探讨功能对等理论在儿童文学翻译中的应用，并对中译本中的不要之处进行点评并提出建议。旨在验证该翻译理论能否指导翻译实践，实现目的语和源语的功能对等。
