Along with the compute technology into the construction of the library, the database has become an important part of the library. The characteristic database which is an important manifestation of the modern library information service development is a new important information resources. The independent colleges of Yunnan province build characteristic database is to adapt to social development. It is a demand of higher education and scientific research, and also is a way for the sustainable development of the independent college library. Through statistical analysis, it pointed out that the construction of the characteristic database has some difficulties and need to further improvement.
