The Impact of Patent-based Technological Innovation on the Digital Economy

研究基于向量自回归模型和脉冲响应函数,以中国30 个省会城市(除拉萨外)1998-2017 年的面板数据为样本,实证分析专利数量、专利种类和专利引用量对数字经济的影响.结果表明:专利总数、发明型专利、外观设计型专利、实用新型专利和被引用数量的提升均会显著提升数字经济发展水平,其中变量每提升1 个单位将会引起数字经济水平分别提升0.028 5 个单位、0.027 8 个单位、0.019 7 个单位、0.03 个单位、0.018 8 个单位;通过对变量之间冲击的脉冲响应图分析表明专利数量、不同类型专利和专利被引数量的上升均会促进数字经济的发展,其对数字经济的影响在第0 期呈现峰值,随后处于下降趋势,但整体影响均为正向影响,影响大小排序为专利总数>发明型专利>专利被引量>实用新型专利>外观设计型专利.
Based on the vector auto-regression model and impulse response function,this study takes the panel data of 30 provincial capital cities in China from 1998 to 2017 as a sample to empirically analyze the impact of patent numbers,patent types,and patent ci-tations on digital economy.The results show that:The increase of the total number of patents,invention patents,design patents,utility model patents and the number of citations significantly improves the development level of digital economy with an improvement of 0.028 5 units,0.027 8 units,0.019 7 units,0.03 units,and 0.018 8 units as each patent number increases one unit.The impulse response graph of the shocks between indicators shows that the increase of patent numbers,patent types,and patent citations will pro-mote the development of digital economy.The impact on digital economy reaches peak value during the 0th period and decline after-wards,whereas the overall impact stays positive.The impact can be listed in descending order as the number of total patents,invention patent,patent citations,utility model patent,and design patent.
