Using total factor productivity as an indicator to analyze the overall situation of China's technological progress level,28 coun-tries in the OECD were selected as host countries to calculate the level of technology spillovers in each region.By constructing a theo-retical analysis framework and evaluation index system for digital economy and OFDI reverse technology spillovers in each region,the internal relationship between digital economy and OFDI reverse technology spillovers was empirically analyzed.The research shows that reverse technology spillovers of OFDI will have an impact on the level of technological progress in the home country;the rapid develop-ment of the digital economy accelerates the OFDI process and enhances the absorption capacity of various regions in the home country for technology spillovers;there are significant differences in the level of digital economy development among different regions in terms of technology spillover effects.Therefore,multinational corporations need to increase their independent innovation capabilities and en-hance international competitiveness;the government should increase China's foreign investment efforts and improve the level of domestic technological progress;the main role of the digital economy should be emphasized to leverage the radiation effect of the digital economy in coastal areas and form a regional coordinated development trend.
