Analysis of Regional Differences in the Development Level of New Quality Productivity in the Western Region and its Temporal and Spatial Evolution
Based on panel data of 11 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities)in the western region from 2013 to 2022,the evaluation index system of the development level of new quality productivity is constructed with three dimensions of scientific and tech-nological productivity, green productivity and digital productivity;and the obstacle factors are analyzed by using obstacle degree model according to the development level of new quality productivity measured by entropy method in the western region, and the regional differences and characteristics of temporal and spatial evolution of the development of new quality productivity in the western region are investigated by using the Dagum's Gini coefficient and the Moran's index. The results show that:digital productivity and scientific and technological productivity are the main obstacles to the new quality productivity;the overall differences in the new quality productivity show a fluctuating downward trend, and the regional differences mainly originate from the inter-regional differences;the level of the new quality productivity in the western region is characterized by spatial clustering, with changes occurring in Ningxia,Inner Mongolia,Xinjiang and Shaanxi. This paper provides a reference for how to better develop the new quality productivity in the western region.
