Based on the panel data of 278 prefecture-level cities in China from 2009 to 2021,the economic resilience of prefecture-lev-el cities was measured by linear regression estimation and sensitivity index method,and the mechanism of digital infrastructure to im-prove the urban economic resilience was empirically tested.The study found that the digital infrastructure construction has significantly improved the urban economic resilience,and the conclusion is still true after a series of robustness tests such as using IV-2SLS and ex-cluding samples from special years.Mechanism analysis shows that digital infrastructure can indirectly enhance the resilience of urban economy by enhancing market potential,upgrading industrial structure and gathering of highly skilled personnel.Heterogeneity analysis shows that digital infrastructure plays a more significant role in improving the economic resilience of inland cities,cities with low level of economic development and large permanent resident population.Therefore,it is necessary to make full use of digital infrastructure to foster new drivers of economic growth,and to improve the urban economic resilience by releasing the potential of the domestic market and industrial upgrading.
