Research on the Influence of Digital Economy Output on the High-quality Development of the Manufacturing Industry——Leveraging Machine Learning Techniques
Presently,the emergence of the digital economy stands as a pivotal force propelling the advancement of the manufacturing sector towards high-quality development.This study,encompassing data from 30 provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions)across China spanning from 2012 to 2022,employs grey relational analysis to identify variables closely linked to the manufacturing industry's high-quality development for subsequent mediation effect assessment.Subsequently,employing machine learning techniques,the study explores the nonlinear relationship between the digital economy's output and the manufacturing industry's high-quality develop-ment.Key findings indicate:The digital economy's output can promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry,and this conclusion still stands after robustness test.The digital economy's output fosters the manufacturing industry's high-quality develop-ment by bolstering innovation-driven income,nurturing human capital,and lowering transaction costs.The intermediate-term promotion impact of digital economy output on the manufacturing industry's high-quality development is the most significant.The promotion effect of the digital economy's output on the manufacturing industry's high-quality development is notably pronounced in the Yangtze River Delta region and the central and eastern regions of China.
