Whether the private higher education can ensure a prosperous future,to a large extent,rests on the education policies adopted by the government.The attitudes and the policy orientation of the government can excert a profound impact on the existence and development of private higher education.From the perspective of policy study,taking the case of Shaoxing private higher education for example,the author makes comparisons on the status quo and the current policies of private higher education among some similar cities first.Based on the above comparison and analysis,the author puts forward suggestions on how to improve the policy support system of the local government for private higher education,including improving the financial aid mechanism run by the government,establishing a win-win competition and cooperation system between the public and private education institutions,and exploring the reward system,etc.
