The circulating water pump is important auxiliary equipment in thermal power plants,and the monitor-ing system can provide safety forewarning for the operation of the water pump set,improve the power generation efficiency of the set and save the operation cost of the power plant.The online monitoring system can evaluate the running state of the water pump,predict the maintenance time of the water pump,reduce the number of the un-warranted maintenance of the water pump,and extend the service life of the water pump,so that the operation of the power plant achieves the highest efficiency.This paper mainly describes the instrument control equipment set-ting and the realization of each function of the monitoring system of the circulating water pump set in thermal power plants,which provides reference for the arrangement and selection of the instrument control system of the circulating water pump set in thermal power plants.
