Demolition measurement is to make full use of the role of surveying and mapping technology in identi-fying buildings and structures to provide a basis for determining compensation standards.Combined with the au-thor's practical experience in operating projects,this paper takes the demolition of an illegal construction project in a certain town of Miyun District,Beijing as an example,and discusses and analyzes the application of ArcGIS in the production process of the project.GIS technology provides an increasingly perfect operating platform and technical support for demolition surveying.Advancing with the times and connecting GIS technology with demolition sur-veying more deeply is helpful to the management and innovation of demolition surveying.
