Research on the Gem Mineralogy of "Black-Bone Chicken" Jadeite
Due to a large amount of dark minerals inside,"black-bone chicken"jadeite generally appears gray-gray and black,which particularly looks like the feathers of black chickens,giving people a feeling of dirt and unclean-ness,it has not been liked and accepted by people in the past.With the increasing scarcity of jadeite raw materials in recent years,people have started collecting colorless,white and dark jadeite,and in such a good development trend,"black-bond chicken"jadeite will definitely have its place.The author uses polarizing microscope observation,X-ray powder crystal diffraction experiments and conventional gemstone identification instruments to identify and study"black-bond chicken"jadeite,and obtains the physical,chemical and optical properties of"black-bond chicken"jadeite.Research results help to distinguish the identification characteristics of"black-bond chicken"jade-ite from similar jade.
