A Preliminary Study on the Water Quality and Environmental Impact of Drainage Under Tunnel Construction Disturbance
This article preliminarily explores water quality changes and their environmental impacts in the drainage process of the Chengdu Branch of China Anneng Group Third Engineering Bureau Co.,Ltd.constructing tunnels similar to the West-East Gas Transmission Project from the perspective of environmental science.Research shows that the activities of tunnel construction drainage significantly alter the water quality parameters of the drainage area, including but not limited to changes in pH value, increase in suspended solids and the potential release of heavy metals. In addition, the changes of groundwater flow patterns caused by drainage may have long-term impacts on surrounding ecosystems and groundwater resources. In order to solve above issues, the article proposes a series of management measures for construction drainage, including water quality treatment, water quantity control,ecologi-cal protection, the establishment of monitoring and early-warning systems, and the development of prevention and emergency response mechanisms, aimed at reducing environmental impacts and promoting the coordinated develop-ment of construction activities and environmental protection.Through comprehensive management measures, the adverse effects of construction drainage on the environment can be effectively alleviated, water resources and the ecological environment can be protected, and the smooth progress of engineering construction can be ensured.
