The Effect of the Radioactive Waste Liquid Environment in Nuclear Power Plants on the Aging Resistance of Equipment Linings
The container equipment of the collection, treatment, storage and discharge system of radioactive waste liquid in a nuclear power plant in China adopts rubber-lined anti-corrosion design. With the increase of service time, the performance of the lined rubber layer will gradually decrease, even age and fail, which affects the safety of equipment operation and even leads to the leakage of radioactive liquid. This paper calculates and compares the ser-vice life of lined rubber plates under different conditions such as irradiation and irradiation immersion through ther-mal aging experiments for rubber, compares the changes of the physical and chemical properties of original rubber plates, irradiated rubber plates and irradiated impregnated rubber plates through infrared tests, thermogravimetric tests, impact strength tests and hardness tests, and ultimately determines the main influencing factors of rubber aging in the radioactive waste environment of nuclear power plants.
