Comparative Analysis of the Uncertainty of Determining Vanadium Content in Vanadium Products Based on the Volumetric Method
For the two mainstream volumetric methods for determining vanadium content in vanadium products(the potassium permanganate oxidation method and the ammonium persulfate oxidation method),by the compara-tive analysis of the size of the synthetic uncertainty when the two methods determine vanadium, the experiment analyzes various factors affecting the uncertainty in the determination process, including the standard solution, the ti-tration process, determination repeatability, etc.,evaluates the uncertainty of these factors, and calculates the syn-thetic standard uncertainty and extended uncertainty of the determination.By comparison,it is found that the deter-mination data of potassium permanganate oxidation is more stable than that of ammonium persulfate oxidation, which is especially obvious when determining vanadium with high content. When the confidence level is 95%and the inclusion factor is 2,the potassium permanganate oxidation method and the ammonium persulfate oxidation method are used to determine vanadium content in three vanadium products, and the extended uncertainty is vana-dium pentoxide(0.28%and 0.29%),vanadium-nitrogen alloy(0.21%and 0.26%)and ferrovanadium(0.12%and 0.13%),respectively.
