A large amount of book circulation data is generated every day in the daily operation of libraries,which is not only a tool to record reader information and business statistics,but also hides enormous potential value.We discover that there is a certain relationship among the borrowing behavior of readers,book classification,discipline features and reader types through the in-depth mining of the data,which is of great significance for libraries to opti-mize resource allocation,increase resource utilization and improve service levels.Combined with actual experience,this paper will first analyze the necessity of applying data mining technology in libraries,and then explore basic data mining techniques.At the same time,the paper will propose the basic steps of applying data mining technology to digital library systems,and deeply study the application of data mining technology in the analysis of the borrowing behavior of library readers.
