Over time,highway bridges will have disease problems in operation,which will affect their normal use and easily cause serious safety accidents,so this paper proposes the application of a new prestressing technology in highway bridge maintenance.It analyzes the advantages of applying the new prestressing technology in the mainte-nance of highway bridges and avoids the problems of this technology during construction through its key applica-tion points.Finally,it clarifies that in the maintenance of highway bridges,the pre-tensioned prestressing technol-ogy can be used to prefabricate maintenance components,the unbonded prestressing technology can connect con-crete box girders,and that the prestressed carbon fiber reinforced plastic(CFRP)reinforcement technology can be applied to the maintenance and reinforcement construction of bridges.This paper makes an in-depth analysis of the key points of this technology,which lays a solid foundation for its application and promotion in practice.
