The gas content of coal reservoirs is one of the important parameters to evaluate the gas-bearing prop-erty of coal reservoirs, and it is difficult to obtain accurate gas content directly with the conventional logging method.According to the difference in the wavelet energy spectral characteristics of the logging response of coal res-ervoirs with different gas contents, through the multiscale wavelet energy spectrum analysis of curves such as density andacoustic time difference, this study first proposes to establish the correspondence between the wavelet energy spectral characteristic and the gas-bearing grade, and is based on this to identify the gas-bearing grade of other coal reservoirs. The results of case studies show that this method can effectively improve the precision of the identifica-tion of the gas-bearing grade of coal reservoirs.
