Theoretical Analysis and Experimental Research of Eccentric Tensile Experiments
An eccentric tensile experiment is a comprehensive and research-oriented project of Material Mechanics Experiment.In order to increase the difficulty and depth of the Material Mechanics Experiment course,this paper derives the formula of the eccentric tensile stress through theoretical analysis,pointing out that the actual neutral layer of the eccentric tensile specimen is no longer its geometric neutral layer,simulates the stress distribution of the eccentric tensile specimen by ABAQUS software,and through a self-made device that can perform eccentric ten-sile experiments on an electronic universal testing machine,tests the strain at each point on the cross section of the specimen by the electrical measurement method.The results show that the theoretical calculation results,experi-mental results and simulation results of the eccentric tensile experiment are practically consistent,and the deviation among the three kind of data is small,and that the stress is almost linearly distributed on the cross section of the specimen,with compression on the left side and tension on the right side,and with the smallest stress on the left side and the largest stress on the right side.
