Current Situations and Treatment Strategies of Old Pavements in the Construction of Widening Highway Pavements
Widening highway pavements is one of the important projects in highway construction at present,which is of great significance for improving the operating frequency of highways and ensuring the rational utilization of highway construction projects.However,in the process of widening highway pavements,there are a series of tech-nical difficulties in the treatment of old pavements,such as the serious original diseases of old pavements,the differ-ent thickness of new and old pavement structure layers,and the large settlement of old pavements.If these problems are not effectively solved,they will seriously affect the widening quality of highway pavements and the safety and ef-ficiency of transportation.Therefore,this paper mainly analyzes the present situation of old pavement construction during widening highway pavements,and puts forward corresponding treatment strategies,in order to provide some reference for the project of widening highway pavements.
