Research on the SLM Forming Process of 18Ni300 Mold Steel
The 18Ni300 mold steel,as a high-performance mold material,has strong heat resistance,wear resis-tance,and corrosion resistance.By using Selective Laser Melting(SLM)technology,complex and fine mold parts can be manufactured through computer models,thereby shortening the production cycle and reducing production costs.Through density measurement and calculation of SLM formed parts of 18Ni300 mold steel under different process parameters,it was found that the process parameter combination of laser power of 250 W,scanning speed of 1 000 mm/s,scanning spacing of 0.1 mm,and powder spreading thickness of 0.04 mm can achieve high density forming effect.
