In the context of the promotion and application of new technologies,the construction of public smart li-brary has become a necessary path for the future development of public libraries.It can not only significantly im-prove the efficiency of internal work and the utilization of collection resources,but also innovate intelligent service models and comprehensively improve the quality of library services.This article starts with analyzing the basic char-acteristics of public smart libraries,which are guided by resource integration,centered on smart knowledge,readers-oriented,and modeled after the Internet of Things.It proposes a path for the construction of public smart libraries under new technologies,including digital resources,intelligent construction,and humanized construction of librar-ies.
