The quality of topographic maps directly impacts the effectiveness of various functions within geographic information.In decision-making,natural resource management,and emergency response,topographic maps provide basic data,and the quality directly determines the accuracy and reliability of these applications.Incorrect topographic information can lead to incorrect analytical conclusions,profoundly affecting decision-making processes,such as land use planning,and disaster risk assessment.Therefore,the quality of topographic maps is crucial for the applica-tion of geographic information.The application of realistic 3D models opens up new possibilities for enhancing the quality and realism of terrain maps.This paper deeply discusses the quality inspection methods of topographic maps by realistic 3D models,and focuses on key quality characteristics such as spatial accuracy,topological accuracy,and realism.Through the professional elucidation of challenges such as multi-source data consistency,large-scale data processing,automated detection,and repair techniques,a comprehensive perspective is provided to address the key issues in topographic map quality inspection in practical applications.
