Exploring the Potential and Allocation Strategies of Carbon Source Utilization in Urban Sewage Treatment Plants
There are problems with unstable total nitrogen and excessive total nitrogen concentration in urban sewage treatment plants in China, which are mainly caused by insufficient organic carbon sources in the inflow.Due to the poor interception effect of non-dissolved organic matter in the setting of the initial sedimentation tank in traditional sewage treatment plants,it can cause the problem of non-dissolved organic matter entering the biological treatment unit, directly increasing the burden on the secondary biological treatment unit, resulting in the high op-erating costs of the water plant and then forming a vicious cycle. To address this issue, urban sewage treatment plants have increased their research efforts on the utilization potential of influent carbon sources and conducted in-depth discussions on carbon source allocation methods. The article will take a certain urban sewage treatment plant as an example to comprehensively explore the utilization potential and allocation strategies of the influent carbon source in urban sewage treatment plants, hoping to provide some reference for the improvement and development of urban sewage treatment plants in China.
