This study establishes a set of context-specific indicators for evaluating the resource and environmental capacity of the Xichuan Reservoir Area,and conducts an in-depth analysis of the region's land use status and re-source environmental carrying capacity.By systematically assessing the total amount of land use,spatial distribution,and their temporal changes in Xichuan County,this paper reveals the regional resource and environmental charac-teristics,thereby exploring an comprehensive evaluation method based on these features.The results have provided a scientific basis for optimizing land use and managing resources and environment in the Xichuan Reservoir Area,proposing specific strategic recommendations to promote sustainable development and ecological protection in the region.
