Implementing the 20th CPC National Congress's Strategies of Workforce Developing and Rural Revitalization—Improving the Quality of Horticultural Talent Cultivation Through Professional Skills Competitions
The report of the 20th CPC National Congress pointed out that talent is the most crucial factor in com-prehensively promoting the strategy of rural revitalization.Local agricultural colleges are the main battlefield for cul-tivating high-quality and high-skilled talents needed for rural revitalization,and professional skill competitions are an important strategy to improve the quality of talent cultivation.Taking the Horticulture major of Shaoguan Uni-versity as an example,this article introduces its measures and achievements in implementing the 20th CPC National Congress's strategies of workforce developing and rural revitalization.It focuses on exploring the promoting effect of professional skill competitions on the comprehensive quality,professional skills,practical ability,and teacher edu-cation and teaching ability of Horticulture students,hoping to provide a reference for the practical education and comprehensive education reform of Horticulture majors in similar local ordinary undergraduate colleges,and effec-tively improve the quality of talent cultivation in Horticulture majors in local undergraduate colleges,providing sup-ports for the strategy of rural revitalization.
