Discussion on the Ecological Impact and Countermeasures of Port and Waterway Engineering Construction
As a key node of the water transport network,ports undertake important functions such as cargo distribu-tion and ship docking.Waterways are the"lifeline"of the water transport economy,and their navigation conditions directly affect transportation efficiency and costs.In order to enhance the functions of port and waterway,a series of construction projects are needed.Due to the difficulty and multiple connections,it is inevitable that they will have a certain impact on the surrounding ecological environment.The construction party needs to consider comprehen-sively and plan scientifically.Based on literature analysis and construction practice,this author summarizes the con-tent and characteristics of port and waterway engineering construction,analyzes the impact of engineering construc-tion on the ecological environment from aspects such as soil erosion,biodiversity threats,soil and water pollution,and proposes strategies such as scientifically formulating construction plans,reasonably organizing construction op-erations,and strengthening on-site management,hoping to reduce the negative impact on the ecological environ-ment and achieve a win-win situation for port economic development and environmental protection.
