Numerical Analysis of Stability of High Fill Slope Under the Action of Rainfall
Taking a high fill slope in Guizhou as an example, the rainfall infiltration simulation and stability analysis of the slope are carried out by using Finite Element method. The research results show:In stage I of the low rainfall period, the increase of pore water pressure and moisture content in the slope is small, and there is a large pore water pressure at the rock-soil interface; In the rainy period, the pore water pressure and moisture content of the slope in-crease significantly, and the pore water pressure changes from negative to positive; In stage Ⅱ of the low rainfall pe-riod,the pore water pressure and moisture content of the slope begin to decrease, but the changes at the slope toe are small; The slope instability failure starts at the toe of slope, the shallow sliding caused by rainfall is due to the stress concentration at the toe of slope, where the maximum shear strain occurs, and the sliding also drives the uplift and failure of the toe of slope; For high fill slopes, constructing a horse road can reduce the deformation of the slope and improve its stability.
