Research on Current Situation of Water Environment and Its Countermeasures in West Liaohe River Basin in Inner Mongolia
Water environment is tthe source of human life,which is closely related to people's life,and the most important part of the ecological environment.West Liaohe River is located in the upper reaches of Liaohe River,with a total length of 829 km,and more than 92%of its drainage area is located in Inner Mongolia.In recent years,due to the dual influence of natural factors and human activities,the main stream and tributaries of West Liaohe River have experienced prolonged and multiple interruptions in flow.From 2001 to 2016,the main stream of West Liaohe River was interrupted for 249 days per year.With the rapid expansion of agricultural areas,the increase in large amounts of irrigation water,the overexploitation of groundwater,and the interruption of river channels have led to a series of ecological problems such as the shrinkage of rivers,lakes,and wetlands.Therefore,it is imperative to revive the water ecological environment of West Liaohe River.Tthis paper analyzes the current water quality of the national examination section of the West Liaohe River in Inner Mongolia,and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions such as the establishment and improvement of long-term mechanism according to the existing problems and the serious current situation of flow interruption,so as to provide a basis for further fighting the battle of clear water,comprehensively improving the quality of water environment and realizing beautiful rivers and lakes.
