Reproduction of Festival Culture from the Perspective of Community Reconstruction:Taking the Immigrant of Kucong People from the Lahu People in Zhenyuan County of Yunnan Province as an Example
Cultural reproduction refers to the transformation, reconstruction and recreation of traditional culture by cultural subjects based on the changes of the times,or the implantation of favorable elements for recombination,in order to achieve internal coherence and sustainability of culture. As a drastic social change, traditional festivals and other folk cultures inevitably suffer from varying degrees of abandonment and loss during the process of relocating from old villages to new ones. The Kucong people of the Lahu people in Zhenyuan County of Yunnan Province have immigrated to new villages, fully tapping into the enthusiasm and initiative of the immigrant community.By effectively expanding the space of the Kucong new villages, expanding the boundaries of the She people's festival and practicing the cultural reproduction of festivals, they have achieved the reconstruction of their homes in different places. The reproduction of festival culture in the new villages of Kucong immigrants is driven by a dual cultural identity based on foundational and situational theories, thereby achieving the reconstruction and reset of the Kucong in a brand new and unfamiliar environment, ultimately achieving the modernization transformation and development of them. This process and outcome benefit not only from the active choice of the hardworking Kucong, but also from the support of the country present.
