Exploration of Undergraduate Education in Western Universities from the Perspective of"Element-system"
The cultivation of undergraduate students in western universities is an important part of revitalizing higher education in the west and improving the level of education in the west. The current undergraduate training work in western universities faces many problems. From the perspective of western universities themselves, the problems are mainly inadequate disciplinary settings, weak teaching staff, insignificant disciplinary characteristics and so on.From the perspective of western universities and social development, the problems are mainly limited coupling between university development and economic development, universities are constrained by the"Western consciousness"and so on.Based on the philosophical category of"element-system",it is proposed that the optimization of undergraduate education in western universities should follow the coordinated development ideas of"strengthening education support to cultivate outstanding undergraduate students"externally and"optimizing the higher education system to cultivate outstanding undergraduate students"internally.
