Research on the International Promotion of Chinese Driven by China's Economic Growth
With the continuous strengthening of China's economic power,the international promotion of Chinese language,as an important component of the spread of Chinese culture in the world,is also accelerating year by year.The unprecedented changes in a century also provide important historical opportunities for the international promotion of Chinese language.This paper argues the inherent logical relationship between China's economic growth and the international promotion of the Chinese language from an economic perspective,constructs a cultural gravity model embedded in income level,and makes an empirical study on Chinese international promotion by using OLS fixed effect and systematic GMM.It is believed that the sustained and stable growth of the Chinese economy has increased the frequency of Chinese language use internationally,attracted more people to learn and use Chinese language,the improvement of China's income level is the main driving factor for the international promotion of Chinese language,and the driving force exhibits obvious characteristics such as differences in enterprise nature,industry categories,intercontinental differences,and extensive margins.International economic and trade cooperation encourages low-income countries to learn the languages of high-income countries,and the languages of high-income countries have the opportunity to develop into international lingua franca.China is not only a country with a large population,but also an economic power.With the increasing economic strength of China,Putonghua has the objective conditions to develop into an international lingua franca.However,the international promotion of Chinese language is also a long historical process.
