An Analysis of the Geographical Image of"Dian Hai"in Yang Shen's Poems
The word"Dian Hai",one of the Yunnan landscape,has been mentioned repeatedly in Yang Shen's poems,and it is a geographical image that cannot be ignored in his literary outputs.The"Dian Hai"in Yang Shen's poems has two meanings,the narrow meaning refers to Dianchi Lake,and the broad meaning refers to Yunnan,which also has symbolic meaning.As a geographical image,"Dian Hai"can reflect Yang Shen's geographical cognition and emotional experience to Yunnan.It also can be used as a key link to study the interpretation of"man-land relationship"between Yang Shen and Yunnan.This paper studies the image of"Dian Hai"from the perspective of literary geography,researches relevant documents,studies the origin of its name,interprets its constituent elements,explores its emotional implications,expounds Yang Shen's living environment and corresponding spatial imagination when he was sent to Yunnan during his relegation.It reveals Yang Shen's the changes of his attitude towards Yunnan from resistance to acceptance and then to helplessness for better understanding the poetic features and the ideological process during his relegation.
