Discussion on the current situation and teaching reform in the course of dental materials
The course of dental materials,a multi-disciplinary course that combines materials science with dental medicine,plays a vital role in advancing the training of students'basic knowledge and clinical quality.Due to the difficulty and limited class hours of the course,it is challenging for students to achieve desired results.In this paper,we adopt several approaches,including literature research,questionnaire survey,and classroom teaching practice,to analyze the current situation and existing problems of the dental materials course in Xiangya School of Stomatology.On the basis of in-depth research and analysis,we propose several strategies for teaching reform,in-cluding opening front-end courses,improving teaching methods,and increasing experimental links and clinical ap-prenticeships.Overall,through discussion on the current situation and teaching reform of the course,this study aim to improve the quality of the course's teaching and,what's more,shed light on teaching reform of similar domestic courses.
