Temporomandibular disorders(TMD)is one of the common diseases in oral and maxillofacial region.Temporomandibular disorders do not refer to a single disease,it is a group of diseases whose etiology is not completely determined and have the same or similar clinical symptoms.The pathogenesis of temporomandibular joint disorders has not been fully elucidated,and most scholars explain that it occurs under the interaction of a variety of pathogenic factors.In recent years,studies have found that systemic diseases such as diabetes,rheumatoid arthritis,systemic lupus erythematosus and ankylosing spondylitis are associated with temporomandibular joint disorders.
