Objective:To use a Biofunctional Prosthetic System(BPS)combined with implant assisted retention to repair severely absorbed mandibular alveolar ridge in Parkinson's edentulous patients. Methods:Implantation at positions 33 and 43 was assisted by implant guide plates. The Jaw Relationship function,Articulator function, and electromyography function of electronic facial arch were used as assistance to obtain accurate mandibular position of Parkinson's edentulous patients, then to complete maxillary BPS repair and implant overdenture restoration with mandibular locator base assisted retention.Result:After the denture was inserted, intraoral examination, bite force test, and electronic facial arch electromyography test all showed good repair results in terms of facial restoration and other aesthetic aspects,as well as pronunciation, retention, and bite functions. Conclusion:The use of electronic facial arch Jaw Relationship function,Articulator function, and electromyographic function can help to obtain accurate jaw position information for Parkinson's edentulous patients. The combination of implants and BPS can help edentulous patients with severe alveolar ridge resorption obtain a complete denture with both aesthetics and functionality.
